Step 3 - Hosting your website

Hosting means that someone must host that domain name and data to display the website so that whoever types in your address or finds your link in the search engines...will see the website. By placing your website on a computer that is connected to the web your website will be accessible to any one with a computer, internet connection and browser.

There are many cheap and even free hosting services available on the web and in the back of computer magazines but you need to ensure that they offer the correct services to run your website and that your chosen host will not add further charges for adding non standard services.

Almost all free hosting providers will place banner ads on your site and are basically using you to promote misc. products to your visitors. There's no such thing as a free lunch. Another important point is the quality and speed of support offered with these free hosting services. They don't charge you anything to host your site so why should they care?
